Current Opening:
Our Astoria, Oregon office seeks a dedicated front desk concierge/part-time telephone receptionist to join our team. This team member is integral to the smooth operation of our law firm and ensures the efficient day-to-day operations of our office. This is an entry-level position.
Our ideal candidate is curious, hard-working, quick on their feet, and eager to serve our clients. This is an excellent role for someone interested in the law and perhaps interested in law school or becoming a Licensed Paralegal.

- Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Friday 8:30 AM to 5 PM.

Front Desk Concierge:
As the eyes and ears of the company, the concierge supports the entire firm by facilitating communication between all departments. This role is ideal for candidates seeking to gain experience in various business career tracks, or who want to experience the legal profession from the inside.
Some of the main tasks of this job include:
- Greeting and attending to clients upon their arrival
- Managing reservations for conference rooms (including necessary setup), company-owned properties and company vehicles
- Coordinating drivers for deliveries, court runs, and client/attorney court rides
- Frequent communication with staff through our multi-line phone system
- Oversee all aspects of front desk and conference rooms and common areas from position of concierge
Telephone Receptionist:
Our team of telephone receptionists answer calls for all (5) of our offices: Portland, Astoria, Bend, Eugene, and Vancouver, WA. As a telephone operator, you will be the voice and ears of our company. You will answer, direct (transfer), and keep record of ALL incoming calls. When needed, our operators take and send detailed messages.
Since our telephone receptionists are the first point of contact for people calling our firm, it is imperative that you have the following skill set and characteristics:
- Ability to speak and project clearly and distinctly, with a friendly confident tone
- Ability to use listening skills to put callers at ease and obtain accurate and complete information
- Ability to stay calm, cool, and collected -- with a good sense of humor
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple phone calls at one time
- Ability to think outside the box and to anticipate the needs of callers and/or co-workers
- A professional and helpful demeanor
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in a fast paced and deadline-driven setting (previous operator experience and customer service experience highly preferred)

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Mac operating system
- Keen attention to detail

- Capable of handling a large volume of documents efficiently and accurately, while multitasking and assisting with other daily tasks within department(s)
- Experience in an administrative support or customer service role
- Enthusiastic about teamwork; able to adapt and think quick, remain professional
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Enthusiastic about teamwork
- 1-2 years of relative office experience is preferred
- Ability to lift 30 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
