Professional Experience
While in law school, Jack served for two years as a student-attorney in the Trust & Estate Clinic, where he advised clients and drafted estate planning documents. He also externed for Judge Shorr at the Oregon Court of Appeals.
In addition, Jack worked as a Student Associate for LexisNexis and was hired as a Research Consultant after graduation from law school. In that role, he supported large law firms and law schools throughout Oregon before transitioning to the Small Law segment, consulting with firms across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, and Hawaii. During his time with LexisNexis, Jack represented the company at the Lavender Law Conference, the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association’s annual gathering of legal professionals and allies.

Professional Activities
Jack is a member of the Oregon State Bar.
Community Involvement
Jack is an active community volunteer with the Special Olympics of Oregon, serving as a key volunteer at events across the state. While he is ready to help wherever needed, he especially enjoys supporting the golf events and working with the Athlete Leadership Council.
Jack also volunteers with the West Linn–Wilsonville School District’s ISEF Science Fair, where he mentors high school students on social science projects involving legal or justice-focused topics.
Interests
Jack is passionate about storytelling in all its forms—movies, books, TV series, and podcasts—and spends many weekends exploring Portland’s movie theaters. If you ever need a recommendation, he has one for every genre. When he’s not immersed in a good story, you can find him skiing on the slopes or learning to fly fish on the Deschutes River.
