Ryan Rosen
Associate Attorney

Professional Experience
Ryan Rosen was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. One week after high school in 2002, Ryan travelled to Baxter State Park in Maine, climbed Mt. Katahdin, and proceeded to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail to its southern terminus in Georgia at the age of 18. Now a Triple Crown Thru-Hiker, Ryan also completed the entire Pacific Crest Trail after college in 2010 and the Continental Divide Trail in 2016, walking each from Mexico to Canada.
In undergrad, Ryan studied philosophy at George Mason University where he focused on environmental ethics, art history, and jurisprudence. In between sophomore and junior years, he lived and worked in Prague, Czech Republic. After moving to Washington, he worked in the craft beer scene, managing retail shops before working as a sales representative and manager for a distribution company.
Ryan began his legal career by obtaining a paralegal certificate from Tacoma Community College and then working in legal support roles before attending law school. He moved to central Oregon in 2023 and has been with SKH ever since. Ryan graduated cum laude from the Seattle University School of Law, which he attended at night while working full time during the day at the Washington AGO and then SKH. Ryan has had a unique experience, having worked directly under the supervision of Managing Shareholder Joel Kent and with clients on high asset and contentious divorces, preparing for mediations and trials, and helping to manage cases before ever graduating from law school. Now, having passed the bar exam, Ryan is putting those skills to work as an associate attorney with the firm.

Interests
Ryan enjoys hiking and backpacking, gravel and mountain biking, the occasional river float, and a good road trip. For his next venture, he has his sights on a 17" canoe and exploring the waterways of the Pacific Northwest. On less adventurous weekends, Ryan is at home in Redmond gardening, watching the Washington Commanders, spending time with his little cat, Rosco, and now doing all things dog with his new puppy, Lolo.
