SKH Names Lindsey Cherpes as New Shareholder

Portland, OR, January 6, 2026 – SKH Family Law & Estate Planning is honored to announce that Attorney Lindsey C. Cherpes has been named the firm’s newest Shareholder, recognizing her outstanding legal skill, compassionate advocacy, and unwavering dedication to her clients and colleagues.
“Lindsey exemplifies the spirit and mission of SKH — putting clients first while delivering exceptional legal work,” said SKH Shareholder Joel Kent. “She is the very essence of honorable advocacy. We are excited to see her step into this new leadership role.”
Cherpes joined SKH’s Astoria Office in 2021, after practicing family law and employment law in California. Since then, she has distinguished herself as an extraordinary advocate in both family law and estate planning, representing clients in matters involving divorce, child custody and support, domestic violence, wills, trusts, and probates.
“Lindsey approaches each case with strategic thoughtfulness, creativity, and a deep sense of responsibility. She brings clarity to complex matters and a calming presence as an astute problem-solver for her clients,” said Shareholder Laurel Hook.
Based out of the firm’s Astoria, Oregon office, Cherpes works closely with Shareholder Arthur Saito in managing the Astoria location while also serving clients out of SKH’s Portland and Bend offices. Her versatility and statewide reach make her a trusted resource for clients navigating some of life’s most challenging transitions.
“Lindsey is incredibly caring and committed to improving the lives of our clients, community, and co-workers at the coast,” added Saito.
Cherpes maintains bar licenses in both Oregon and California, and was named to the Oregon Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2025, an honor reserved for the top 2.5% of attorneys who are either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. Her academic background is equally distinguished; she graduated with honors from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in English and later earned her Juris Doctor, also with honors, from California Western School of Law.
With her promotion to Shareholder, Cherpes will continue championing SKH’s client-first philosophy, taking on greater leadership in both representation and firm initiatives. Her dedication and collaborative spirit strengthen SKH’s ability to serve clients with excellence throughout the northwest and beyond.
